Hisense, Metalink Team Up for 802.11n Wireless HD Streaming

Hisense announced on July 10, 2007 that it will collaborate with Metalink on offering advanced 802.11n solutions that facilitate wireless HD (High-Definition) multimedia streaming in the home network environment. According to Hisense's press release, by means of Metalink's 802.11n-compliant WLANPlus chipsets, a centrally-located device - a DTV (Digital TV), PVR (Personal Video Recorder), or STB (Set-Top Box) - can transmit multiple HDTV streams over wireless home networks to other rooms in the house.
